Summer Exclusive Team Building: A Trip to Xueye Lake, Stirring the Team's Aspirations Amidst Mountains and Waters

In August, when cicadas' chirps grow louder, the colleagues of Haihuier temporarily set aside the busyness of their workstations to keep a date with nature — boarding a bus bound for Laiwu's Xueye Lake, using this team building trip to unlock a new side of the team amidst mountains and waters.

Heading for the Lake, Packing Expectations in Our Bags
With full enthusiasm, the bus, filled with laughter and chatter, set off. The scenery outside the window gradually changed from urban buildings to rural fields, and interactive games inside the carriage had already begun: guessing song titles, playing idiom solitaire. Occasional bursts of applause and playful shouts made the originally one-hour ride feel light and brisk. When the cry "We're at Xueye Lake!" rang out, the moment the bus door opened, mountain wind, carrying the freshness of the lake water, rushed towards us — distant green mountains looked like dark green eyebrows, the near shore rippled with blue waves, and the lakefront log cabins, neatly arranged in an irregular pattern, were like colorful building blocks scattered on a green carpet, instantly soothing all fatigue.

Camaraderie Forged Over the Sizzle of Barbecue
After settling in, the "battlefield" of self-service barbecue was already set. Some took the initiative to shoulder the responsibility of "cooking," flipping sizzling, oil-dripping meat skewers over the grill, seasoning them with skills comparable to night market vendors; others shuttled through the ingredient area, washing vegetables, threading meatballs, and arranging iced cola and watermelons to fill the table; still others brought small stools, sat in a circle to share recent happenings, their laughter mixing with the aroma of barbecue, drifting toward the lake.
Amidst the lively feast, the clouds suddenly parted in the sky — a faint rainbow stretched across the lake, its red, orange, yellow, and green bands contrasting with the green mountains and blue waters. Everyone raised their phones to capture the moment, and someone laughed, "It's a filter added by nature for us!" At that instant, the smoky aroma of barbecue, the soft glow of the rainbow, and the smiles of colleagues became the most vivid notes of this team building.

Beneath the Stars, Fireworks Ignite a Summer Night Carnival
Night spread a deep blue curtain over Xueye Lake, and the long-awaited fireworks show arrived as scheduled. When the first cluster of fireworks burst in the night sky, golden-red showers of light instantly lit up the lake surface. Immediately after, colorful fireworks bloomed one after another: some like falling stars all over the sky, others like peonies blooming in the night sky. Cheers and exclamations from colleagues rose and fell. Some held colleagues' hands, jumping with joy; others made a wish to "must achieve the second-half KPI" to the fireworks. The firelight reflected in everyone's eyes, bright as hidden stars.
As the fireworks faded, lights in the log cabins gradually lit up. Everyone sat on the terrace chatting, from work to life, from the past to expectations, and the evening breeze was filled with relaxed warmth.

Returning with Full Hearts, Carrying Aspirations Back to Daily Life
As the team building came to an end, we bid farewell to Xueye Lake in the lakeside night, and the bus slowly headed back to the company. The trunk was filled with leftover snacks, phone albums were packed with group photos, and more importantly, everyone carried in their hearts a newfound tacit understanding of standing side by side with colleagues.
This summer team building had no deliberate "team building" label, yet amidst mountains and waters, the smoke of barbecue, and laughter, we came to better understand the meaning of "standing side by side." Next stop, we'll carry this aspiration forward, together.
